Jeepers Creepers (2001)

This is the sort of fear video that regrettably moral isn’t made too often these days. Plain and simple, it is an old-fashioned horror moving picture thrill bully; it’s the kind of film that wisely keeps the villain in the shadows for much of the in the good old days b simultaneously, lurking in and senseless of the background, and it consequently builds up a palpable level of stress. There isn’t a new marquee villain here to serve as a franchise anchor, ala Freddy or Jason, to spout clever one-liners or to constantly come repayment from the dead suitable yet another tired result. The gore quotient, in hindsight, is surprisingly soft, but the creepiness factor is cranked up to prodigal. There are plenty of melancholy, disturbing scenes, but it is not automatically bloody. When all is said , Jeepers Creepers succeeds wonderfully in reviving the often misdirected detestation genre with the keyboard of frenetic activity and shadowy brute that has sadly been missing fit awhile.
Trish (Gina Philips) and Darry (Justin Long) are sister and brother heading relaxed from college on break, traveling across the agricultural and desolate south in a vintage Chevy Impala. To discuss too much more of Salva’s screenplay would be unfair, as the enlargement of the second and third acts rely heavily on an ever increasing layer of revelations that propel things along at a charming rapid clip. I’m well hip of Prizewinner Salva’s bad conviction in the early 1990s, and how it turned his name into a dirty word to varied. Whether you determine to look past that or not is your choice, and I respect your resolving. If you judge to ignore films such as Jeepers Creepers, or his earlier Ability, based solely on that the score you are missing some highly fun filmmaking. The dispute whether a work of art stands alone, detached from its founder, has been debated for hundreds of years and will not be answered here.
